Clarinet Quintet in B minor, Op. 115

One of Brahms's last works, inspired by the clarinetist Richard Mühlfeld. The autumnal warmth and resigned beauty of this quintet make it one of the most emotionally satisfying chamber works ever written. The variations finale, ending with a reprise of the opening, brings the work full circle.
