Toccata from Symphony No. 5, Op. 42/1
by Charles-Marie Widor
OrganRomanticToccata~6 minadvanced
The final movement of Widor's Fifth Organ Symphony is one of the most famous pieces in the entire organ repertoire. Its perpetual-motion figuration over a triumphant pedal melody has made it a staple of wedding recessionals and concert finales worldwide. Widor served as organist at Saint-Sulpice in Paris for 64 years.
