Cello Suite No. 3 in C major BWV 1009
cellobaroquesuite~23 minadvanced
The third suite returns to a bright, expansive key and is the most extroverted of the set. The Prélude's brilliant scale passages and bariolage figuration exploit the full sonority of the instrument. The Bourrées are among the most popular individual movements from the suites, frequently performed as encores.
